DeepMind’s CEO Demis Hassabis has announced the development of a new chatbot, Gemini, which will combine large-language models with problem-solving through reinforcement learning. This chatbot could surpass other large-language models with GPT-4 through reinforcement learning. Google recently merged DeepMind with its own Brain AI department and will launch an improved version of its AI tool Bard to directly compete with similar tools from ChatGPT and Microsoft. OpenAI’s ChatGPT seeks to become a virtual assistant, competing with Salesforce and Microsoft.
