Anne and Paul Ehrlich’s prediction of a global overpopulation bomb in the late 1960s has not come to fruition, however, human reproductive technology continues to advance, raising bioethical concerns. This is especially concerning to Christians, as population decline has already started in North America, Europe, and East Asia, with a replacement rate of 2.1 births per woman needed to maintain a population. In order to survive, societies must address the cultural factors that have caused the population decline, such as constitutionalizing the destruction of the pre-born, coercing women to only have one child, redefining marriage, and legalizing sperm banks.
