Artificial Intelligence (AI) is advancing rapidly, with changes being observed in the areas of robotics, computer vision, machine learning and natural language processing. AI programs are becoming increasingly sophisticated, with language model GPT-3 producing text that resembles human speech. AI is being used to create individualized treatment plans in healthcare, as well as transforming other sectors of the economy such as finance, education and transportation. However, the difficulty of mapping how an AI program came to its conclusion and the need for ethical AI systems that are transparent and accountable are primary concerns.
