India’s top SaaS firms are investing in and exploring generative AI technology to attract investors and reduce customer acquisition costs. Freshworks CEO Girish Mathrubootham said that they will make significant investments to integrate AI, especially generative AI, into their operations. Zoho also announced the launch of 13 generative AI application extensions and integrations, powered by ChatGPT. Generative AI is a type of AI technology that can produce various types of content, and conversational AI refers to technologies like chatbots or virtual agents. Western companies have been fast to adopt this technology, and Indian SaaS and tech companies are now following suit.
