Google’s third demo day of the Google for Startups Accelerator: Climate Change program took place on Thursday, with 12 participating startups presenting their projects. These projects were largely grouped into three categories: artificial intelligence, electric vehicle infrastructure, and providing better data to decarbonize how companies operate. Matt Leidener, head of startup ecosystem at Google, believes that supporting climate-related startups is important for the future of the world. The program is also beneficial for Google, as it allows them to benefit from the cloud intelligence and machine learning capabilities.
