Apple has announced new software features for cognitive, speech, vision, and mobility accessibility, as well as tools for nonspeaking individuals. These features draw on advances in hardware and software, include on-device machine learning to ensure user privacy, and expand on Apple’s commitment to making products for everyone. The features, such as Assistive Access, Live Speech, Personal Voice, and Detection Mode in Magnifier, will be available later this year.
