Microsoft is seeking to patent a new technology that can detect cyberattacks occurring against multiple cloud customers by analyzing activity to find “sharing anomalies”. The system utilizes machine learning for pattern recognition and can implement “attack mitigation tools” such as alerting admin and security personnel and increasing security requirements. This technology is a smart move for Microsoft as it can detect any angle that a bad actor could use in a cyberattack.
