Microsoft, under the leadership of Satya Nadella, has become a tech giant with a market value of $2.15 trillion. However, governments across the world are now accusing Microsoft of violating antitrust laws, filing lawsuits, and proposing regulations that would require it to drastically change its business practices. These actions are targeted at Microsoft’s push into gaming, its attempt to control the cloud business in Europe, and its aggressive drive to dominate artificial intelligence. The FTC is currently suing to block Microsoft’s $68.7 billion takeover of video game maker Activision.
