Forta Network, a web3 cybersecurity firm, monitors more than $40B in on-chain assets for clients such as Polygon, Compound, Lido, ZenGo, and crypto lending platform Euler Finance. Forta’s machine learning models detected an attack on Euler’s blockchain protocol before funds were stolen, giving the Euler team a few minutes heads up. Despite the warning, Euler was not able to act quickly enough to shut its network down before funds were stolen. After negotiations with the hacker, customers were made whole. Christian Seifert, a Principal Group Manager at Microsoft, joined Forta in April 2022.
