The BAS algorithm, using the RF model with optimized parameters and features, has been successful in predicting the risk of cholangitis after ERCP stent implantation in patients with MOJ. Early intervention and careful selection of stent type and length can help reduce the incidence of postoperative cholangitis. Machine learning-assisted models have been used to improve prediction accuracy and aid in preventing biliary infections.
