The results of the latest IoT Developer Survey show that Linux is the most used operating system for Internet of Things devices, with a commanding lead over other options. Despite a slight decrease from last year’s survey, Linux remains the top choice for developers building IoT solutions. FreeRTOS, a minimal operating system designed for microcontrollers, has seen a rise in usage, likely due to the release of Amazon FreeRTOS by AWS. Linux is expected to continue its dominance in the IoT market.
