Professor Maria Liakata, a leading expert in Natural Language Processing (NLP), has been awarded a £4.38 million grant to address the critical issue of sociotechnical limitations in Large Language Models (LLMs). The project aims to harness the potential of LLMs for better services and efficiencies in healthcare and law, while mitigating the risks stemming from deploying poorly understood systems.
