A lightweight real-time detection network model, ARD-Net, has been developed to monitor alligator gar in wild waters. It uses a cross-domain grid matching strategy, involution operator, and dual-channel attention mechanism to enhance detection accuracy and speed. A dataset of alligator gar images was also created for training.
