A new study has shown that protein biomarkers in the blood can accurately predict the onset of dementia up to 15 years before diagnosis. Using machine learning, researchers identified 11 proteins that can be used as a predictive panel for dementia, with a high accuracy rate of over 90%. This research has the potential to be used in community-based dementia screening programs.
