The CyberPeace Institute is an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting vulnerable communities from cyber threats. To conduct effective analyses, the team recognises the importance of leveraging unstructured data, which can include a wide range of non-standardised sources of information. Manual processing of such sources is time-consuming and labor-intensive, and prone to inconsistencies. To develop and strengthen data processing techniques, the CyberPeace Institute joined the 2023 Data Practice Accelerator Program organized by the Patrick J. McGovern Foundation. A strategy for processing unstructured data is through the implementation of machine learning.
