Jennifer ‘Jenn’ Didoni is an advisor for Vodafone’s business and public sector customers, helping them to unlock their critical IT and application workloads with the best cloud, networking, and edge computing solutions. The EU is aiming to increase the use of cloud-edge computing from nearly 50% in 2021 to 75% by 2030, with applications such as data collection from trains, biometric authentication payments, and live streaming video from frontline emergency service personnel. As Head of Cloud, Edge, and Mobile Private Networks for Vodafone Business, Jenn is leveraging the company’s geographical scale to plug its network into the cloud infrastructures of the main hyperscalers. However, edge computing comes with its own risks, such as securing an increasing number of network endpoints, managing multiple vendors, and avoiding zombie data.
