Shift Robotics is launching the world’s fastest shoes, an electric mobility device that attaches to the bottom of regular shoes and enables users to move up to three times faster than usual. The device features a small motor directly controlled by algorithms and an intelligent learning system that adapts to each user’s walking style to optimize their speed. The device is compact and lightweight, and can fit in a backpack. It is currently available in the United States for $1,399.
