A recent Pew Research Center survey found that US workers who are most exposed to tasks that artificial intelligence can perform well largely don’t feel their jobs are at risk. The survey showed that those with greater exposure tend to be well educated, earn higher wages and are more likely to be women rather than men. Artificial intelligence refers to a range of applications of machine learning, computer vision and natural language processing that can substitute or complement human tasks. While about half of workers in the professional, scientific and technical services sector face a high degree of exposure to AI, only 14% of them say the cons outweigh the pros.
