Business leaders are increasingly aware of the potential for catastrophic cybersecurity events, yet only 15% are prepared for such an event. This disconnect may be due to attitudes that presume such incidents only happen to others, or a lack of priority given to cybersecurity initiatives. Cyber-physical integration, which combines digital systems and physical objects or processes, is becoming increasingly common, and the reliance on IoT devices to translate physical data into digital information is a major risk factor.
