This included the seven-member team in their Office of Responsible AI, which was responsible for developing AI products and experiences safely and responsibly. However, it is difficult to balance ethical values and hard-code them into machine learning tools. This requires understanding how these programs operate, which rules should be absolute and which should be flexible, and how to ensure that AI programs are accountable and transparent.
