ChatGPT is a language model that has been trained on massive volumes of internet texts and has been used to assist with mundane tasks in healthcare and health research. It has the potential to disrupt the traditional doctor-patient relationship, but also has the potential to improve healthcare through innovation, robotics, digital technology, and improved diagnostics, prevention and therapeutics. However, this new technology also raises ethical, legal and social challenges that must be addressed.
