A team of physicists from Stanford University and University College Dublin have created a new analog quantum computer, called the “Quantum Simulator platform”. This breakthrough in computing technology allows scientists to solve previously unsolvable problems and understand superconductivity. Analog computers, which predate digital computers, take in continuous data, such as temperature, voltage, speed and weight, rather than discrete values.
