Booz Allen Hamilton has selected Latent AI, a machine learning operations company, to help the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office develop and deploy AI models at the tactical edge. Latent AI’s Efficient Inference Platform will enable the Department of Defense to develop AI models for end-user devices and provide warfighters with results in real-time. Steve Escaravage, executive vice president at Booz Allen, noted the need for scalable AI and data compression at the tactical edge. In July 2021 Booz Allen’s venture arm made a strategic investment in Latent AI.
