Waabi, a Toronto-based AV startup, has secured $275 million CAD in Series B financing and plans to deliver fully driverless, generative AI-powered trucks in 2025. The round was co-led by existing investors Uber and Khosla Ventures, with support from new strategic backers including Nvidia, Porsche, and IKEA’s VC arm. Waabi aims to address labour shortages, safety concerns, and supply chain issues in the long-haul trucking industry with its autonomous technology.
