The Critical Industrial Technologies Initiative, a program of the Ontario Centre of Innovation, is offering up to $1 million in funding for tech innovators to develop new technologies that can address safety and environmental hazards in mining. The initiative also aims to support the adoption of critical technologies such as 5G, artificial intelligence, blockchain, cybersecurity, robotics, and quantum, while developing skilled talent in the industry. The challenge is open to consortiums with at least one small or medium enterprise as a partner.
